Asteroids Galaxy Tour – Sun Ain’t Shining No More (with Lyrics)
October 26th, 2008 | by pfunk |New favorite song: The Sun Ain’t Shining No More by The Asteroids Galaxy Tour. This caught my ears from the moment I heard it. They had another song called Around the Bend that was used on an iPod commercial, but I like this one a lot more. It definitely hovers that border of catchy and cool versus annoying. It’s a song that could definitely end up being overplayed…but that won’t stop me from enjoying it now. The Asteroids Galaxy Tour are from Copenhagen and just formed within the last year or so. They’re re-working their website at the moment, but you can check it out here (takes you to their Myspace page for now). Enjoy!

The Sun Ain’t Shining No More Lyrics by The Asteroids Galaxy Tour
**Did the best I could…please add any lyrical insight via the comments
Well, I got my mind out of sight
lost the common sense,
got a rave in my brain
like i’m without defense.
Till I catch my eyes right in front of me,
It’s a bloke of a man finally taking me.
Hey cute from the left, oh yeah
Why’d his move he had me shake out a lie
He really had it going…
The crowd’s getting thinner
we are getting closer,
with a hole in my head
he took me to his sofa…
Well now the sun ain’t shining no more,
I don’t know why but I’ve seen it before.
Ain’t got no joy no man to lean on,
He leaves my soul on the floor like a doll.
He was young, he was hot,
he made me feel alive.
so in love I was falling,
ooh, it’s early morning.
He took me in his hands
and squeezed me real tight.
I was humbled and so joyful
depending on this guy;
he didn’t last very long
a week or maybe two.
when he called me on the phone
saying baby I don’t love you.
Just another one-way love
always giving never getting.
And now I feel so stupid
it’s like a deja vu ooooooo
Because the sun ain’t shining no more,
I don’t know why but I’ve seen it before.
Ain’t got no joy no man to lean on,
He leaves my soul on the floor like a doll.
Oh no the sun ain’t shining no more,
I don’t know why but I’ve seen it before.
Ain’t got no joy no man to lean on,
He leaves my soul on the floor like a doll.
Yeah, yeaaahhhh…
For a while I’m shining
but later I’m crying.
Instead of getting stronger,
I’m always getting weaker.
For a while I’m shining
but later I’m crying.
Instead of getting stronger,
I’m always getting weaker
Yeah now the sun ain’t shining no more,
I don’t know why but I’ve seen it before.
Ain’t got no joy no man to lean on,
He leaves my soul on the floor like a doll.

haha I think it is
” and now I feel so stupid
It’s like a deja vu ooo.”
And then I think after got a raid in my brain she says
like a ???? I confess.
I don’t know though, don’t worry about it I always though it was dog too, when you think about it it makes more poetical sense.

ooh I also think it is
with a hole in my brain instead of hand and in the chorus I think it is
I don’t know why but I’ve seen it before.

I think it’s “he was gentle, he was hot”
instead of “he was young, he was hot”

For a while I’m shining
but later I’m crying.
I’m sick and stronger,
I’m always getting weaker.
Is
For a while I’m shining
but later I’m crying.
Instead of getting stronger,
I’m always getting weaker.

i think instead of
“lost the common sense”, it’s,
“lost in common sense”.
And i think that instead of
“he was gentle, he was hot”, it’s,
“he was young, he was hot”.
And
“i was humbled ???
but depending on this guy”, would be,
“i was humbled, so joyful?
depending on this guy”.
Anyway nice try, this is only my suggestion, so don’t feel obliged to change the lyrics.

THIS SONG IS HOTT

thanks x-Ash-x…I had young instead of gentle and am going to change it back to that as I think that makes more sense given the context. Thanks for recommending joyful…that seems to fit and is better than ???, lol.

This is a good song. The song “The Golden Age” is another great song. Actually, the majority of the songs off this album (Fruit) is pretty amazing.

Why’d his move he had me shake out a lie
***It´s “what a smoothie”, not “why´d his move”***
He was ***gentle, not young****, he was hot

i think it has to be ’till one catch my eyes’ instead of ’till i catch my eyes’
